I
found CrossFit by reading an article in Muscle & Fitness featuring a CrossFit
gym in California. The concept made total sense to me. Functional fitness is
what I was looking for, not spending hours in a gym just lifting weights in a
manner which did not help my fitness and improve my overall health.
I went onto www.crossfit.com
and started to watch all the videos and I was hooked. I started doing the WOD's
on my own at a regular gym. I remember the comments and looks I would get. Then
in January 2009 I was introduced to "The First
Responders Challenge" by a fellow co-worker and found myself at Cynergy
CrossFit. I was hooked right from the first workout.
The more I read and observed, I was amazed; not only at what CrossFit can do but
what the Cynergy family can do for people, including myself.
As a police officer and SWAT operator, I know CrossFit has improved my physical
abilities as well as my mental conditioning. I hope to continue spreading the
knowledge and love of Cynergy CrossFit that was given to by the
Brown's and the entire Cynergy "family". It has added
years to not only my career but to my life.
