Spotlight Athlete Diane Scott

At Cynergy Training, we love celebrating the incredible individuals who make our community so special. This month’s Athlete Spotlight shines on Diane Scott, a dedicated 8 a.m. regular whose strength, positivity, and consistency inspire everyone around her. From raising three athletic sons to finding confidence through fitness, Diane embodies what it means to live strong—inside and outside the gym.

Diane shows up and does the work! Her consistency and dedication to her health are inspirational. Diane has achieved impressive personal milestones such as tremendous improvement with her pushup mechanics and has also increased her pressing strength. She’s making her way up that dumbbell rack!

Beyond her own progress, Diane actively pushes others to get out of their comfort zone. Her encouragement leaves members feeling motivated, supported, and eager to push their limits.

Thank you for everything you bring to class, Diane, and keep up the hard work!

What do you do for work?

I'm a Category Leadership Manager for a CPG company.

What would you like us to know about you and your family?

My husband and I have been married for 22 years and have three athletic sons. Our twins both run track at Northeastern University, and our 12-year-old is completely obsessed with basketball.

What is one thing that we may not know about you?

Soccer is my first love, I started playing in grade school and continued through high school.

How long have you been training and what time do you typically train?

I started doing CrossFit about 11 years ago. I came to Cynergy 6 years ago, I first started training at the 7am class, but most recently train at the 8am class.

What is your favorite lift and why?

My favorite lift is the back squat, because who doesn't like leg day?!

What is your favorite WOD and why?

I enjoy a good AMRAP because everyone finishes at the same time, and you truly get out of the workout what you put into it.

What are your current life goals?

My current life goal is to raise my sons to be well-rounded, hard-working, honest young men who make a positive contribution to society. And, I want to be as strong and healthy as I can be as I age, so I can be around to witness it.

What is your most memorable time as an athlete?

My most memorable time as an athlete, actually happened outside the gym. When my son had a serious football accident, the 7 a.m. class became an incredible community that supported my family and me. It was made clear during that time that Cynergy is so much more than just a place to work out.

How has training impacted your life outside of the box?

More than just fitness, training is my morning social outlet where I share laughs and start my day with encouragement & positivity from truly wonderful athletes and coaches. Training has also given me a quiet confidence knowing I'm getting strong each day I train, both mentally and physically.

Spotlight Athlete Diane Scott's Signature WOD:

Diane’s story reminds us that training is about more than physical strength—it’s about connection, growth, and showing up for yourself and others. Thank you, Diane, for being such an inspiring part of the Cynergy family!
