Games of the Ages is a functional fitness same sex partner competition. Events will include Olympic lifting, gymnastics, and conditioning. Grab a buddy and let’s have some fun!

Event 1 - “The Ascent” Clean Pyramid
With Partner - complete the following reps in unbroken sets
10 Cleans (5/5)
8 Cleans (4/4)
6 Cleans (3/3)
4 Cleans (2/2)
2 Cleans (1/1)
8 minute Time cap
Score is total load (weight x reps)
Each team completes the prescribed reps in unbroken sets. The weight must increase with each barbell. Each team must agree and complete the same weight for each barbell. If you fail any part of the unbroken scheme, you may retry or move on (if you move on, you score a zero for that portion). Each athlete may increase the weight on the final barbell until the time cap.
Event 2 - The Cycle of Time
2 minutes at each station. Each Athlete must participate in each station, but you can allocate the 2 minutes however you want.
Row - score is calories
Alt.DB Snatch - score is reps (weight will differ per age group starting at #50/#35)
Assault Bike - score is calories
Wall Balls - score is reps (weight will differ per age group starting at #20/14)The score will be the accumulated reps and calories after the 8 minutes.
Event 3 - Slipping Away
9-Minute AMRAP
While Partner A completes:
10 Kettlebell Swings (1.5/1)
5 Toes-to-Bar or Hanging Knee Raises (50+ or scaled)
Sled Drag 30m (115/90 on pull sled)
Partner B must hold:
Plate pinch (25/15)
If Partner B drops the plate or loses grip, Partner A must stop until grip is regained from Partner B
Scored based on rounds and reps (15m sled drag = 1 rep), total reps for 1 round = 17 reps
Event 4 - Carrying the Load
4 Rounds for Time
12 Barbell Thrusters (95/65) (P1)
12 Box Jump Overs (24/20) (P2)
12 Synchro Bar-Facing Burpees
30m Team Run (with loaded Barbell)
Odd rounds - P1 completes 12 Thrusters, then P2 completes Box jump overs, then both athletes do synchro bar-facing burpees (same side or opposite side of barbell), then both athletes carry the barbell together the prescribed distance before they start the 2nd round - where P1 and P2 rolls are switched P2 starts with the thrusters, P1 does the BJO
