Help Us Celebrate Cynergy's Legacy

Honoring 26 Years of Strength, Community & Impact

Dear Cynergy Community,

As many of you may know, Cynthia (Cindy) & Keith Brown are stepping into a new chapter after 26 incredible years of building the Cynergy community.

While a public celebration was originally considered for June 28, they decided they would prefer a private gathering, so this tribute is being created in lieu of that party.

Instead, we’re creating a tribute slideshow made up of messages, photos, and short video clips from past and present members, coaches, and friends.

Whether Cynergy was part of your life for a few months or many years, your words would mean more than you know.

Help Us Reach the People Who Helped Build Cynergy

We would love help reconnecting with former members and friends of the community throughout the past 26 years. If someone comes to mind, please consider forwarding or sharing this message. A simple hello would mean a great deal.

Community First

Cindy and Keith have always believed that Cynergy’s success came from the community itself — the people who showed up, supported one another, and turned it into something far greater than a gym. And none of that would have been possible without the incredible coaches whose empathy, passion and dedication helped create an environment of care, support and belonging.

Cynergy's Next Chapter

Cynergy enters its next chapter with Charlene and Scott Pifer as the new owners. Their leadership represents both continuity and growth—building on the strong foundation that has been created while bringing new energy, ideas, and opportunities for the community to continue evolving.

This transition is not about replacing what was built—it’s about carrying it forward.

The Origins of Cynergy Training

Cynergy began in 2000, when Cindy started as a personal trainer at Gold’s Gym before renting a small training space in the old shoe factory in Whitman. From there, it continued to grow, eventually finding its home at 23 Commercial Way. in Hanson and becoming the community so many of us know today.

Through years of relentless learning, experimentation, and a deep passion for fitness, nutrition, performance, and overall well-being, Cindy shared everything she learned with anyone willing to listen. What started as one woman’s personal journey evolved into a community built on education, encouragement, resilience, and genuine human connection.

Over the years, Cindy became far more than a coach — she became a mentor, teacher, motivator, and champion for countless people. Her willingness to continually learn, evolve, and encourage others is the foundation of Cynergy’s 26-year legacy and why so many consider her the true heart and soul of the community.

And while Cindy has long been the heart and face of Cynergy, Keith played a major role in helping shape what the community became over the years.

As a coach, co-owner, and innovator, Keith helped launch Cynergy Boot Camp which is now entering its 22nd year and was instrumental in bringing CrossFit into Cynergy in 2007 — helping evolve both the training and the community itself.

His steady presence, coaching, and vision helped shape the culture, relationships, and sense of belonging that defined Cynergy over the years.

As we celebrate Cynergy’s legacy, we also want to recognize and thank Keith for the important role he played in helping build the community that so many people came to call home.
